Yoga Classes
Yoga Hale located in Kona on Hawaii's Big Island, offers 1-3 instructed classes per day, 7 days per week.
Classes offered at Yoga Hale include our popular Hot style yoga or just plain Hot Yoga, utilizes state-of-the-art infrared heaters with ionic air purifying heaters. These intense & structured Hot Yoga sessions mostly consist of up to 26 static poses, repeated twice with longer holds the first time and shorter holds the second time. This class is offered also as Free Karma Class, where donations of $8 or more are encouraged to help aid children in the Kona community & also a 1-hour Power session, which offers the same intense and structured sesson, but consists of 26 static poses done once with longer holds.
Vinyasa style yoga is a mixture of Baron Baptiste, Iyengar and Ashtanga with subtleties from the Anyasura philosophy. Vinyasa Flow Yoga employs the technique of "connecting postures", but does not use the six series of postures specific to the Mysore Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system. It is taught with constant movement or flow, and slightly shorter holds utilizing a specific breathing technique.
Also, now added is our newest class - Hot Vinyasa Flow. Hot Vinyasa Flow offers the same techniques in our regular Vinyasa Flow class, but utilizes the state-of-the-art infrared ionic purifying heaters used in our popular Hot Yoga sessions.
Furthermore, we offer Yin Yang Yoga, which is taught partially on the floor holding postures for 3-5 minutes. The class begins with a light hatha yoga flow with sun salutations to warm the body in preparation for static, on the floor stretches-posture that allow the body to soften the connective tissues to allow the old stagnant out and the new softness in.
